The popularity of the orangery has grown enormously over the last five years. Whether the design follows the traditional route of square or rectangular lanterns, positioned centrally in the ceiling area, or, a much larger lantern creating a ‘light ceiling’ over the whole space, the end result is the same: loads of glorious light!

At Paxtons we understand orangeries. We’ve been installing them for over 10 years and have wecomed the exciting new products that have been launched over that time.

Modern techniques make construction using narrower profiles possible, resulting in more glass and less frame. The glass itself has improved enormously, with modern lanterns delivering high insulation values that were never possible in the past. And the ease of installation, with no on-going painting or maintenance, makes a compelling case for the roof lantern - in the unlikely event that good looks aren’t enough!
